Dr. Ashish George is a highly skilled and accomplished liver transplant surgeon, currently serving as the Principal Consultant and Unit Head in the Department of Liver Transplantation Surgery. He holds an MBBS and an MS in General Surgery from the University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, and an M.Ch. in Surgical Gastroenterology from AIIMS, New Delhi. Additionally, he completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Liver Transplantation from TNMGR University, Chennai, and a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery from WLH. With extensive work experience, Dr. George has held prominent positions including Senior Consultant in the Department of GI Surgery and Liver Transplantation at Aakash Healthcare Superspecialty Hospital, New Delhi, Consultant in HPB Surgery and Liver Transplant at BLK-Max Superspecialty Hospital, New Delhi, and Associate Consultant at Dr. Rela Institute and Medical Centre, Chennai. He also served as a Fellow and Senior Resident in HPB Surgery and Liver Transplantation at Global Hospital, Chennai, and AIIMS, New Delhi, respectively. Dr. George is an active member of the Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI) and the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI). His specialty interests include adult and pediatric liver transplantation, auxiliary partial orthotopic liver transplantation, liver transplant in pediatric metabolic liver diseases, split liver transplantation, liver resection in cirrhosis, ante-situm and ex situ liver resections, optimization and care of acute on chronic liver failure, acute liver failure, hepatocellular cancer, and multivisceral transplantation. He has contributed significantly to medical research with publications such as: "Genital filariasis masquerading as testicular torsion" in J Vector Borne Dis.
