Dr. Rahul Arya is a Associate Consultant Gastroenterologist at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar bagh, With extensive academic and professional training, he holds an MBBS and MD in Medicine from VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, and a DM in Gastroenterology from AIIMS, Patna. Additionally, he is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) UK, having cleared Parts 1 and 2 in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Dr. Arya’s expertise encompasses a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including upper GI endoscopies, colonoscopies, ERCP for biliary and pancreatic disorders, and the management of inflammatory bowel diseases, liver diseases, and complications of cirrhosis. He is particularly skilled in multidisciplinary collaboration and patient education, ensuring comprehensive care and informed decision-making for his patients. He has contributed significantly to research, with eight publications in peer-reviewed journals addressing diverse topics such as lymphatic dysfunction in cirrhosis, complications of liver abscess, and the implications of hepatogenous diabetes.
