Past president of Indian Society of Gastroenterology (Punjab), Gastrointestinal infection society of India. Past Secretary of Nutritional Society of India. Technical Advisor UNIDO (United Nations), Member Drug Controller of India. He is a member of Editorial board of National academy of medical Sciences and has more than 135 publications international and national. Professor Rajoo Singh Chhina has been the dean academics and medical superintendent of Dayanand Medical College. Received the prestigious Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel award by Govt. of India and has received KL Wig Oration and GS Sainani Oration Awards. He has been visiting professor in various international colleges eg. Mayo Clinic USA, Jichi university JAPAN, Royal Free Hospital London, and Shereven Port medical School Louisiana USA.
