Dr. Sudarshan is an accomplished minimally invasive and Robotic cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon with over 17 years of experience in the specialty. He has trained extensively in India and UK, under world-renowned surgeons. Professional Qualification: He completed his MBBS from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore, and later pursued MS & DNB in General Surgery, followed by MCh & DNB (Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery). He acquired the first position in his MCh training in Mumbai and also secured C S Sadasivan Gold medal in cardiothoracic surgery in All India National Board examinations. After a brief stint in India, he later went to the UK for his Advanced Adult Cardiac Surgery training in MICS and Aortic Surgery Fellowship from Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, UK. He was awarded FRCS - Cardiothoracic Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. After his return from the UK, he became one of the experts in all aspects of minimally invasive cardiac surgery, with excellent results and a well-established team. Areas of Special Interest & Expertise: He has a keen interest in Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery, primarily in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery and Robotic Cardiac surgery and Aortic Surgeries (including surgery for dissection, aneurysm, and total arch replacement ). In addition, he is proficient in Off-Pump total arterial CABG, totally endoscopic Valve repair and replacement surgeries, surgery for Atrial Fibrillation, and surgery for Heart Failure including LVAD and Transplantation. He is also interested in academic research and teaching and has papers published in various journals.
