Currently Working in Fortis Healthcare as a Consultant Counselling Psychologist with the Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences. Counselling services are provided to both inpatients and outpatients, working with adults and adolescents through an eclectic approach. This includes consultations for various emotional, cognitive, and behavioural disorders, catering to clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Client-centred treatment plans are developed with specific goals to enhance the emotional and psychological well-being of patients. Supportive counselling and psychological support are also provided to inpatients across specialities like Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Gynaecology, and support groups are conducted in collaboration with different medical specialities within the hospital. As part of the Fortis School National Mental Health Program, she provides seminars for teachers, parents, and schools across India on life skills, stress management, parenting, psychological first aid, and more. Training courses on basic counselling skills for teachers are led, and nationwide training on the mental health curriculum is provided. Psychology summer internships for students are facilitated, online workshops are offered with Project Caca, and consultations are provided for children affected by sexual abuse in collaboration with the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation. In this role with the Fortis National Mental Health Program, psychological support and crisis intervention are provided through the 24/7 Stress Helpline. Social media initiatives for community mental health are managed, and articles are written to raise awareness about mental health issues. Additionally, mental health campaigns are strategized and executed to promote awareness. Additionally, an active role is played in the Fortis Workplace Mental Health Program, where digital consultations are provided to employees and seminars are conducted on important topics like coping with stress, managing burnout, and achieving work-life balance. The goal is to create awareness about workplace mental health by writing articles that highlight these issues, while also ensuring comprehensive care for employees through evidence-based strategies.
