Dr Ajay Kumar is Additional Director in the Department of Pulmonology, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram. He has completed his MBBS & MD from Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, UP. He has more then 23 years of experience in treating various Lung Critical Care and Sleep Disorders. He is proficient in performing Pulmonary Interventions like Rigid & Flexible Bronchoscopy and related procedures (e.g. Foreign Body Removal, TBLB, Cryobiopsy, Electrocautery, APC, Tracheal Stenting), Linear and Radial EBUS and Medical Thoracoscopy. He has vast experience in managing complicated Respiratory cases including pleural diseases like hydropneumothorax, simple or recurrent pneumothorax, haemoptysis, and airway obstructions, early diagnosis and staging of lung cancers and tumor related pulmonary complications. Dr Ajay Kumar has special interest in managing difficult case of asthma, COPD, tuberculosis, pneumonia, lung infection, pulmonary embolism and acute as well as chronic respiratory failure. He is actively involved in regularly conducting and organizing and participating in various CMEs, workshops and conferences at national level.
