While liposuction can aid person get rid of too much body fat, it is crucial to know that it is not a weight loss procedure. It can only aid in restructuring as well as enhancing the shape of specific body parts through surgery.

History of Liposuction

The technique of liposuction was tailored by Italian doctors named Giorgio Fischer along with Arpad in 1974. During those times, they referred the technique - 'Blunt Tunneling Surgery'

Although the technique was good enough, sedation, morbidity risks, etc were few limitations.

To eliminate those limitations, Pierre Fournier and Yves-Gerard Illouz, two French doctors, altered the technique in 1978. Throughout the 1980s, the efforts to enhance the technique as well as make it less painful and risky continued finally leading to the introduction of Tumescent liposuction by Dr Klein.

Further innovations led to the introduction of fat liquefaction and improved anaesthesia. These new breakthroughs have made liposuction a more comfortable as well as convenient procedure that causes minimum pain and depicts better results.
