Around 3000 commuters avail Free Health check-up camp organised by Fortis healthcare on Doctor’s Day

In a one of its kind effort the doctors of Fortis Hospitals celebrated Doctors' Day by reaching out to the people of Kolkata by organising Free Check-up camps at 4 railway and 9 metro stations between 9-12 this morning. Around 3000 commuters at various places availed the services. The 4 railways stations are Howrah, Sealdah, Kudghat and Majerhat, while the 9 metro stations are Tollygunge, Kalighat, Rabindra Sadan, Park Street, Esplanade, Central, Sovabazar and DumDum. Eminent doctors of the city from Fortis Healthcare along with officials from Eastern Railways were present on the occasion. Free health checkups for diabetes and blood pressure were organised at the stations.

The medical camp at Howrah station was inaugurated by Dr R Badrinarayan, Divisional Railway Manager and Mr Samir Singh, Zonal Director Fortis Healthcare with checkups conducted by Dr Ramesh Aggarwala.

Eminent urologist Dr Shivaji Basu and cardio-thoracic surgeon Dr Tapas Raychaudhury of Fortis Hospital, Anandapur were present at Kalighat metro station.
