The state of urban health is getting challenged with traditional as well as emerging health issues. Traditional problems like blood pressure, uneven Body Mass Index (BMI), poor Bone Mineral Density (BMD) among children, Ophthalmological issues etc. persist, but they can be easily controlled and maintained. However, there has been a marked increase in the incidence of lifestyle disorders like Cardiac problems, Diabetes, Cancer etc. which are largely the outcomes of the new urban lifestyle.
