Fibroids are fleshy growths of tissue that often ride piggyback on the inner or outer wall of the uterus. These appear during a woman’s childbearing years. While they are non-cancerous, in some they can cause maximum discomfort like low back pain and heavy menstrual periods.
Sometimes, the ovaries can develop cysts or abnormal growths within or on their lining. These are either solid growths or filled with fluid like sacs. While these cysts rarely show up symptoms, they can sometimes cause discomfort in the form of bloating, irregular periods or even irritable bowel movement.
