When Mrs. Azeb Taddesse came to Fortis Hospital Mulund, it was found that she was fluid overloaded. She weighed more than 90 to 95kgs out of which 20 to 23 kg was of water. Fluid overload means that your body has too much water. The kidney was not functioning properly due to the excess fluid in the body. The extra fluid in the body can raise your blood pressure and force your heart to work harder. It can also make it hard for the patient to breathe. The patient was suggested to start her physiotherapy and increase the protein intake in her diet. Following all these recommendations it took two months before the patient was ready for the transplant. As needed maximum efforts were put in before the transplant and after that, the transplant went very smoothly. She had no complications after the transplant. The kidney function and liver function of the patient came back to normal. And now she is leading a healthy and happy life.
